山梨県北杜市を中心に活動する錆染めアーティスト「MISAKI USHIOZU」(@8msk_31) との初のコラボレーション
錆染めとは、錆びた鉄が静かに時間を重ねて生まれた色 — それを布に移しとる染色の技法。

MISAKI USHIOZU が自ら集めた鉄屑を使用して、独学で実験を重ねて習得した技術で、一つ一つ、1人で手作業で製作している。

錆は“時間”と“環境”によって生まれる痕跡であり、
完全にはコントロールできないもの。


その土地、その瞬間にしか現れない表情こそが、
錆染めの最大の魅力。

First collaboration with rust-dyeing artist “MISAKI USHIOZU” (@8msk_31), who works mainly in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture
Rust-dyeing is a dyeing technique that transfers the color of rusty iron - a color born from the quiet accumulation of time - onto fabric.
MISAKI USHIOZU uses iron scraps that he collects himself to create each piece by hand, using a technique that he learned through self-taught experimentation.

Rust is a trace produced by “time” and “environment,” and cannot be completely controlled.
The greatest appeal of rust-dyeing is the expression that can only appear at a particular place and at a particular moment.

10年以上続けていたバレエから離れ、八百屋でアルバイトをしている際に廃棄される野菜で染色を始めたことから草木染めと出会う。
現在子育てをしながら、自然と共にある創作活動を続けている草木染め・錆染めアーティスト。

Rust-dyeing artist “MISAKI USHIOZU” (@8msk_31) , who works mainly in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture. 
She left ballet, which she had been doing for more than 10 years, and started dyeing with discarded vegetables while working part-time at a grocery store, which is how she discovered plant and wood dyeing.
Currently, while raising her children, she continues to work with nature in her creative activities as an artist.
